Art and Architecture around 1400:
Global and Regional Perspectives
The first international colloquium under the auspices of CIHA in Slovenia will discuss one of the most complex and fascinating chapters in art history: art and architecture in Continental and Mediterranean Europe about 1400, in its manifold regional and global perspectives. Slovene Art History Society, its National committee for Art History and the University of Maribor are kindly inviting art historians from around the world to join the discussion the principal themes of which are specified below in the Call for Papers. The colloquium is going to take place in Maribor, where the study of art history was established in autumn 2009, so new opportunities are offered to expand the knowledge in art history. The meeting of connoisseurs is an opportunity to exchange ideas and experience and to visit some interesting but not enough known late Medieval monuments of highest quality. |
